Vermont Works for Women

Education

Vermont Works for Women promotes economic justice by advancing gender equity and supporting women and youth at every stage of their career journeys.

Rosie’s Girls is a trades and career exploration summer camp and after school program for middle school girls and gender-expansive youth entering grades 6-8. At Rosie’s Girls, participants are introduced to a career field that is non-traditional for their gender through hands-on learning in a supportive and empowering environment. In addition to trades and technical learning, Rosie’s Girls includes a social and emotional curriculum known as “Power Skills.”

The Windham Foundation awarded $5,000 to support implementation of this innovative program in multiple counties throughout the State.
